In September, the Kids for the Future clinics focused extensively on literacy.  With this theme, Kids for the Future had the opportunity to shed light on the “30 million-word gap” (see more here).

However, the focus on literacy did not begin, nor end, with the month of September.  “Our goal for this year was to encourage reading,” said Heather Whittemore, Clinic Director in West Memphis.  “We have hosted two book fairs and the children have accumulated many new books.” Read more
