In Brenda Crenshaw’s eight years with Kids for the Future, she has constantly gone the extra mile as a member of the transportation team in West Memphis. Learn more about Brenda’s drive to serve others in the Q & A below:
What is your favorite part of
working for Kids for the Future?
As a part of the
transportation team, I have the opportunity to get to know the children on a
different level than my colleagues. I’m the first and last Kids for the Future
staffer they see each day. During our rides to and from the clinic, we get to
visit about what they’ve learned, their favorite foods, their excitement about
upcoming events—you name it. It creates a special bond.
What makes Kids for the Future
special?
As many of my
coworkers have said, we’re a family at Kids for the Future. Being a member of
this team doesn’t feel like work. We are a tight-knit community, and I believe
that commitment—both to each other and the families we serve—is evident in the
good work we do.
Why do you think Kids for the
Future has been so successful in helping kids?
We are lucky to
have an extremely talented and nurturing staff. From our van drivers to our
therapists, everyone treats these children like our own. We want them to
thrive, and we do everything in our power to help them succeed.
What are three words you would use
to describe Kids for the Future?
Love, pride, and
relationships because: 1) We love these kids 2) We take pride in our work 3) We
focus on building strong relationships with families.
